Flu shots
We recommend the flu vaccine annually to everyone over 65 years old; children over 6 months and under 2 years, pregnant women and anyone with chronic health diseases (Diabetes, COPD, CHF, Cirrhosis). Anyone in Ontario over the age of 6 months is eligible to receive a vaccine, and it is a good idea for anyone of any age. Please note there are very few contraindications. For example, an egg allergy is not a contraindication.
Note, children under the age of 9 years of age receiving their first flu shot will require a booster 1 month later.
Children over the age of 2 can get a flu shot at your local pharmacy.
We currently have the following Flu Clinic Dates available:
Wednesday November 5 from 1-4pm, Friday November 7 from 1-4pm, and Wednesday November 12 from 1-4pm. Please call our office to schedule your appointment
