Flu shots

Flu ShotWe recommend the flu vaccine annually to everyone over 65 years old; children over 6 months and under 2 years, pregnant women and anyone with chronic health diseases (Diabetes, COPD, CHF, Cirrhosis).  Anyone in Ontario over the age of 6 months is eligible to receive a vaccine, and it is a good idea for anyone of any age.  Please note there are very few contraindications. For example, an egg allergy is not a contraindication.

Note, children under the age of 9 years of age receiving their first flu shot will require a booster 1 month later.

Children over the age of 2 can get a flu shot at your local pharmacy.

If you have any questions, we will welcome the discussion – please contact us.
